When Perkins, the parent organization of the Perkins School for the Blind, recently recruited a new president and CEO, it sought someone to bring new ideas to an established and highly successful organization. Selected was Dave Power, a “Perkins parent” who has used his knowledge of the organization and corporate background to bring in fresh ideas and a spirit of innovation. The goal has been to elevate the Perkins brand and impact while staying true to its roots and serving its core “customers” better.
At Perkins, Dave Power is leveraging a love of the organization and a corporate background to push the boundaries of what an already-successful nonprofit can achieve.
